Day Five: Or, and then there were three...

On Sunday, after we said good-bye to Liz (sniff!) the three of us headed out to a street fair, where Alexis' pan drum group was playing.  We missed it.  But we did spend ages wandering around the street market, which was a lot like a community yard sale.  We each made a purchase or two, and enjoyed the sun.  Because we were pretty close, Paige and I went from there to sit at the foot of Sacre Coeur, to see it from a spot that was not Kristianna's flat.

We just took it easy, really, because we'd been so, so busy the days before this.  We had coffee, and bought panninis, and read books in the sun.  When we got tired of that, we wandered home, browsing in some stores on the way.  We went to the Carrefour grocery, bought some goodies, and went home.  We ate and goofed off and watched an old cartoon film Kristianna had called 'Gay Purrrr-ee'.  It was awesome, about a cat who wants to go to Paris to become rich and famous, and her misadventures along the way.  If you've never heard of it, don't worry-- I hadn't either.  But I really enjoyed it.  So if you get a chance, see it.  Let me know what you think.

That was about all that day.  Nearly no photos, just good company for relaxing.  And one 'Where's Waldo/Wally/Charlie' photo.  Can you spot me in my purchase from the street market?

Well, here is what I know.

1. You are smart. VERY smart. You always were!
2. There are other people in the world with Phds and you are no exception to the process. You will succeed.

Just from knowing those 2 things. Knowing that you have the resources needed (intelligence) and knowledge of those who came before you (other phds) I know that your success is inevitable. If you feel fear, think of it as a reminder that you are on the right path. We should run to greet fear..not run the other way.

You are doing great..I am very proud of you and all that you have become.
